No vested interest in this sale but these don't come up too often.

JHC! If he get the BIN @ $2K+ for it I’ll be selling mine!

A pristine Low Wall Hornet can be had for way under $2K.

That one is nice, though.

The first one I saw sell on gunbroker, I bid on it until it topped $2,200 where I got cold feet. I sold for $2,275.

What is special about an abolt in 22 Hornet? Is it just how rare the combination is? I like abolts and 22 Hornets but 2k opens up a lot of other options.

Take a quick assessment and let me know how many other bolt actions you can find with that bolt face in a LH configuration...

I believe that CZ did a few...not sure that they still are.

Only other option I know of is probably the Cooper and you will likely spend more than $2K on that option as well. The Browning LH Hornets are rare indeed and a peach of a rifle.

I was thinking of Cooper but not degrading the rifle for sale in any way. Rather just trying to understand if this is a basic abolt or something more. Agree, this rifle does look like a peach.

The A-Bolt is no longer in production and LH 22 Hornets were only made for a short time before production ceased. I don't know how many were actually made but to find a bolt action rifle in 22 Hornet, especially in a LH configuration is not common.

I have a LH 223 A-Bolt if you are looking for one.

After dealing with the magazine on the A-bolt in the field I sold mine and bought a CZ, I haven't regretted it

I have ended up with a pair of LH A-Bolt 22 Hornets and a LH A-Bolt 223.

I'm considering a re-barrel project on one of the hornets to 17 Hornady Hornet and the 223 to 350 Legend.

Personally I wouldn't do that unless the original barrels were shot out. In my case that won't happen in my lifetime. More likely my wife will sell them to a the LGS for 10% what they are worth when I die.

I have considered that but don't see a need to keep 2 identical Hornets. I would keep the original barrels and be able to put them back on when required. Haven't made up my mind just yet on all this.

If you want to peddle that 223 down rhe road I might just have a spot for it. Feel free to PM details if/when you figure out if she is destined to be a 350 or Re-home'd.
