Cookie can't help me here, so I'm going public.
Working up some material for our pending hunter ed classes and need a good image of a preferably live buck hung up in a fence. Intended use is in our ethics section where one is faced with the choice of shooting/tagging or rescuing the animal. If anyone could share such it would be greatly appreciated. Use would be restricted solely to our Power Point presentation with no publication intentions. There are some online images available, but their resolution is such that they project rather poorly. Hoping for something with at least 1024 pixels on the long axis.
Should one not wish to post in an open forum, a PM exchange would be fine, and one would be rewarded with a good guy pat on the back. Will be away and out of touch for few days.
Have a good one,.

Not exactly what you’re looking for but they do qualify as deer in a fence....

I cut a yearling out of a barbed wire fence a few years ago. She got hung between the top two strands and was hanging by a back leg, upside down, for who knows how long. Even after I got her out and cleaned up her leg, she just lay there. Came back later and she still hadn't moved or really even wiggled much, so I popped her in the head and took her home for the freezer. Hated to, but I figured it was more humane than being eaten alive by coyotes that night, especially after what she'd already been through.
Now with even more aplomb

Not my pic, just one I had run across on the net a couple years back It's a neat pic anyway. Thanks. 1minute - I can't help either, sorry. So far I haven't seen a Buck hung in a fence. This past December, 6th to be exact I went by this stretch of fence and NOTHING was there, less than 20 minutes later I returned and a yearling Doe was hanging upside down by the HIDE of it's R hind leg. I stopped and got out of the road and lifted it up but could not get the hide off the post. I was taking a PIC when a truck came along and I tried to take the pic AND flag him down but all I got was a pic of the ground. I picked up the deer and the guy unhooked the hide from the post. She took off like a missle. Later in the AM I went back and took this pic. You can see hair and mucous where it was hanging. Jerry

Over the past 40+ years I've cut dozens out of fences. Still haven't figured out how to post pics here though.......

Thanks for the efforts, but I always do a web search before going public. A few pics there, but noting with sufficient resolution for projecting.
Have a good one,

I know you requested live deer, but this is all I got.
My heart's in the mountains, my heart is not here. My heart's in the mountains, chasing the deer.
