Maybe wrong forum but maybe the right one. I have a Brasílian made side-by-side in 20 gauge. I’ve shot it very little, if ever. It has “E.R. Amantino” stamped on the side. As well as “uplander” and “stoeger” who apparently imported it.

I’ve heard these may have a use in the cowboy action shooting world?

At any rate, after paying $500 25 years ago for a lifetime subscription to Fishing and Hunting Weekly they threw this in. Still have this gun but F&H Weekly is ancient history. Field and Stream must have bought ‘em because I get their mag every month and I’ve never signed up. Go figure.

Time to get it out of the safe. How does $400 sound?

Brand new the store I work lists them every day for $429.99 brand new or $399.99 on sale and they don't sell very well. 25 years ago that same gun could be bought at K-Mart for a little over $130.

$400 for a used one seems about 2x as much as the norm, at least for around here. Most would rather buy a used Savage 311 in the $200-$250 range as it is proven to be more reliable and what parts may break are comparatively inexpensive, common, and easy to replace one's self. Your area may be different as to prices being paid for used guns or one might find a person willing to pay more if you list the gun online.

I currently own a Stoeger coach gun I bought off the used rack for cowboy action shooting myself. I paid just under $300 all told for it due to it having been "upgraded" by Ahlman's gun shop. This model is popular for this type of use but it seems upgrades of parts are a common practice. The upgrade package was nearly the price of the street price of the gun used so I felt it worth the asking price. This was especially so as an earlier Uplander I had bought would not fire the second barrel, even after the auto safety was disconnected.

My experiences with this line has not been overwhelmingly positive but there may be others who have the Midas touch who will be more willing to pick a Stoeger up, especially one that had not yet become part of the Beretta/Benelli conglomeration.

Helpful info. Looks like I won’t be clearing out any safe space. 😒
