My RR code 7-08 Mountain Rifle has a serial number of course, but no symbol code. I'm assuming this would be the first run of the RR serial number range, do the same mechanical issues exist ?

The code's probably in the bolt slot. Then changed to a huge version after the SN, then to the current smaller version, still an eye sore.

I've only had one like yours, but the bolt had already been tigged, so I can't comment, except why was it tigged?

I noticed that only after I removed the bolt to disassemble the action and remove the barrel. This one is tucked inside the cutout for the bolt handle, bolt installed and closed, it's covered up.

Pay attention to what Butch said. Dead nuts on.
