Imagine if we could just send money to the .Gov fund we wanted. I'd probably chip in for the free birth control, sterilization thing if it would keep other costs down.

And I'd not contribute to office furniture, pencils, phone and computer accounts for "Congress", Give them a $300 allowance for sheidt like I used to get every year for uniforms I was required to wear. But I'll be dammed if I want to see pics of Nancy's fancy office like I recently did in a Time magazine piece...............just 'cause she's the Boss of the Ruling Party in that House.

That’s actually a good question...For me personally, it would depend on how it was being made available. I don’t advocate for schools teaching my kids about sexuality, especially these days...That’s our responsibility as parents.

But, for those without the ability to spare the money for birth control, having it made available for free from clinics or other places where additional health services are available...Sure. 😎

Better yet, it's 2020 right? We've had a really decent public education system since before I was born. And most of the time since then it's included some sort of "sex education" and if you didn't get it in school then someone should have told you about birds and bees etc.

So, you get one "mistake" that the .Gov will help you feed and clothe. After that, as the tuna commercial used to say...............Sorry Charlie.

Define life,first. Also,are we going to pretend we hold all life in equal regard? Say your wife miscarried after 8 weeks, would you feel the same as if she had given birth and the child died a day later? You and some of your friends here don't even hold the life of a full grown person in much regard if they happen to be born the wrong color or race, so your attempted display of empathy and caring rings a little hollow.

I usually don’t take issue with people who have strong feelings for or against something...Especially topics that cause a passionate reaction like 2A, or the 1A ,and a like...But, those of us who truly believe in such things, support it with either our cash, or cash and boots on the ground to either change opinions or hold ground.

Individuals who spew history, biblical references, and an ideology that clearly demonstrates a lack of reality without respect for a woman, proves to me that these types of people are actually the ones who need re-education. At the very least, to be made accountable financially for changes they hope, wish, and pray for.

Abortion should be legal, certainly in the first trimester.
If it is made illegal, women will go back to what they did in the sixties, "back alley abortions" with coat hangers etc. You can't make abortion, or marijuana, go away because you make it illegal.

I got in to the medical profession back in 1980 in a small town in central Georgia. I was a paramedic at a hospital. As part of my training I had to watch 10 surgeries, which included several child births, and several procedures called a "d&c." Medical slang among docs and nurses is "dusting and cleaning."
Something has gone amiss "up there" and they do a d&c. And if, the female should happen to be pregnant, the d&c will cause an abortion.

So I was working in a hospital just 7 years after Roe v. Wade. And as I talked to the nurses about this procedure, several of them told me that, yes, the d&c was commonly given back in the sixties. IF you were a big lawyer, or the mayor, back in 1969, and you happened to be a golfing buddy of the ob/gyn doctor, and your little 17 year old daughter had fetched up pregnant, then it was time for a d&c.

I had several nurses tell me that the d&c was routinely used, before Roe v. Wade, for abortions, if you were connected, and this was the most conservative part of America, rural Georgia. A bunch of Baptists. If this was going on in Georgia, God knows what kind of abortions they were getting, in San Francisco or New York.

So, if y'all get abortion made illegal, the rich and connected will get the d&c, the poor will get back alley abortions, in which many women will die, and many more unwanted babies will be born, to a mother who didn't want them and couldn't afford them.

A 3 week old zygote is not such a sacred thing. About 30 percent of pregnancies result in miscarraige.
