MARICOPA COUNTY — The Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) and the Maricopa County Department of Public Health (MCDPH) have confirmed a person in Maricopa County has been diagnosed with the 2019 Novel Coronavirus.
The patient is a member of the Arizona State University community but does not live in university housing. ADHS officials said the person had recently returned from travel to Wuhan, China, the epicenter of the illness.

I've read a few novels where the plot revolves around the evil genius who develops and secretly stockpiles the vaccine before releasing the super bug into the general population.... the goal is to both wipe out a huge % of "undesirables" followed by releasing the limited supply of vaccine to more desirable types in exchange for lots of money and unlimited power...
In one of the books the super hero discovers the plot … shoves the evil genius and all of his minions down into the underground lab with already infected human lab rats and blows up the entrance….. I don't remember details of the second book's ending other than the evil genius dies horribly and humanity was saved....
Snopes will likely track down both titles and list them as proof that the current events are nothing more that the unfortunate results from a bad batch of bat soup....

Healthcare in China ain't free. Even if you have insurance, which many do, you have to pay as you go for anything beyond what it covers, or the hospitals will dump you out the door. If you want the best care and medicine, you pay extra for it.

The Chinese really didn’t handle the SARS outbreak very well, it was about ten times as deadly as this bug, and still “only” killed, what, 800 people. This one’s about as dangerous as a bad flu.
