Denny, here it is. This was the one he liked the best. https://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/chicken-and-sausage-gumbo-0Only changes we made was to use thighs or thigh quarters, and to use more veggies than it calls for.

I remember talking with our friend, Charlie about making the roux and how it got progressively darker during the process. Pretty cool.

Got kind of sentimental the other day. Decided to cook Charlie's gumbo. It was not his recipe, but it was his favorite. I did not have any okra though..... This is the recipe that he said to double the veggies. Who am I to deviate??
