You did maybe. Just the other week I came across our 25th reunion book from 15 years back. Two former USMC and a guy who had crewed on Puff the Magic Dragon gunship (DC 3?) in Vietnam in my group. I did drive out to that reunion (in SC) but had never browsed the book. One guy (didn’t make the reunion) spent 2yrs in Ghana and took a Commission in the AF (Meteorology IIRC). Some years later he’s in Nigeria and ends up being the ranking Officer over the Embassy Marines (AKA “Africa Corps”) duringa coup attempt. Remarkable, all I did was go to Grad School and then go teach.

The funny thing is that I have two stashes of emergency supplies at the cabin. There's a bunch of freeze dried food in ammo cans out in the open. Then, hidden away are a few bottles of whisky and vodka. When I say bottle, I mean the 1.75 liter ones, and when I say a few, I mean a few dozen. I don't care if someone breaks in and eats the food, but I'd be plenty pissed if someone got to my booze. I guess it's a Montana thing... Oh, and I may have a bunch of edible weed products there for observing the heavens at night.
