My 243 win is built on a Rem 700 long action. I just used a small block of wood to block the magazine well.

Love the question. "Does anyone make a long action Remington". Might check with Remington! :-)

Buy a blind follower (and you've got a single shot.) Different magazines and magazine springs, plus the follower is "wrong" in my .257 Roberts rebuild using LA stock. It's a Model 70, but same-same approach. Or, a wooden "spacer" would work.

I think this is a legit question. I had a 6mm Remington barrel on a 721 action (formerly a 30-06) and there were feeding issues.

I prefer classic.

Remington makes magazine boxes with built in blocks, I bought a stainless one yesterday from their store for $13 + shipping
