I still watch Bk. Sheep when I can. I don't find it cheesy.

Me too! Most favorite war bird is the corsair, and loved me some Pappy Boyington. Loved that show as a kid.

I was just watching Black Sheep Squadron yesterday to introduce my 8yr old son to a classic show and the beautiful F4U Corsair.

I was my son’s age when I started watching Black Sheep, then Wild Wild West and Centennial a couple years later. Strange how the years tic by until Conrad is dead and I’m 10-20yrs older than he was when the shows were filmed. Time.......

When Conrad was filming ‘Centennial’ the cast went to a bar in Greeley which was a tough town back then, two young toughs came up and kept trying to put a battery on his shoulder which they said they were going to knock off and then beat Conrad. He knocked one of them out cold.

When I was a teen, by buds and I would argue over beers, who would win a fight between James T. West, and Captain Jim Kirk?

Heck, I thought he had died a long time ago!
I was hooked on Black Sheep Squadron as a kid. I think most of us boys loved it.
Watched Centennial as the miniseries on tv, which led to reading the book, which led to Chesapeake and Texas, and Alaska and Space and several other great books of Michener.
Bridge At Andau, and the fight against communism in Hungary in the 1950s.
Anyway, RIP, Robert Conrad. I enjoyed many of your shows.

Yeah, I should get the DVDs. I bet Wifey would like it. She’s never seen it.
Be a good thing to have for evenings when there’s nothing worth watching.

He played a French fur trapper named Pasquinel. He had a fake French accent but otherwise, he was good in Centennial.
