My wife won one at a raffle a while ago. I was skeptical at first but have fallen in love with the damn thing and come up with a whole bunch of ways to cheat at slow cooking that would make traditionalists cringe.
Last night I put 2 pork loins in it, dumped in a bottle of root beer and cooked them on high for 50 minutes. Then drained it, dumped a bottle of Sweet Baby Ray’s in there and had some pulled pork that was pretty damn good.
Anyone other Instant Pot cheaters out there?

I’ve had one for a while. I don’t use it a lot and wifey is skeptical about it.
However, she‘s recently got into making her own yogurt. She insisted on having a yogurt maker even though the Instant Pot has a yogurt setting. Over her objections, I decided to make the last batch with the Instant Pot. Now she admits that she liked that yogurt better and is starting to look at other recipes for the Instant Pot.

I got one on Black Friday. So far I've made rice, yogurt, and pot roast in it. All have turned out great. I've already donated my crock pot and rice cooker.

So what the hell is it? I googled it and can't bring anything up. Got a link?

My wife uses it all the time for lots of meals and loves it. The teriyaki chicken is the best IMO.

We love meatloaf made in the Instant Pot, it's one our favorite meals prepared in it so far I'm sure there are many more.

So what the hell is it? I googled it and can't bring anything up. Got a link? Its an effing pressure cooker. The name suggests it's aimed at people who are too dumb to understand water gets hotter at 5 psig than atmospheric pressure and therefore cooks faster.

The mommy unit here at my domicile uses one. Seen her dump a frozen hen in there and in about an hour (I think) that chiggin is thawed, cooked and its flesh is falling off the bone.
Has a program schedule, timer, buttons, lights, makes a little tune when it’s done. Another counter hog

I bought Momma an Instant Pot for Christmas '18. She took it back to the store, got the money back and applied it to a Ninja Foody with air fry, and broiler. About $200. I put a pot roast in it once. She has never used it.
I bought a "Fa#gor" stove top 8 qt pressure cooker at Bed Bath and Beyond this fall, for $29. I use it quite often.
Last time was multi bean with ham. Bring a pot of beans to simmer, drain off the water and rinse. Add more water, a bit of pearled barley, ham & bone. Bring to pressure and time for twenty minutes.
Dried red, kidney, black, pinto, and lima beans with ham fully cooked and ready to eat in less than an hour.
My Mom, Gramma, and Aunts all had Rival pressure cookers. They could have an old wore out laying hen cooked tender for dinner with rice, or noodles, or dumplins in short order. I can not believe I waited so long to buy one.
ETA: I had to add the pound sign to the brand name to get past the [bleep] ha ha

It gets used 2-3 times a week around here. Love it but a slow cooker isn't replaced by it...

I’m sicker than a dog right now but wifey got inspirational and made miso soup, then a Ukrainian rice and beef dish in the Instant Pot.
Turned out awesome. And she was glad that only one pot was needed.
