I just pulled some video off the security cameras from a couple days ago. The whitetails suddenly converged on the pasture behind the house and started a feeding frenzy right at sunset. Link is here: Whitetail Feeding Frenzy

I checked with the NWS, and it matches my recollection.
It had been rainy on and off since 0700. Temps had been dropping from 48 @ 0900 to 36 at midnight. There was no wind after 1100. Similar conditions persisted into the next day.
This was just a typically miserable February day in the Trans-Bluegrass. I'm not sure why the deer suddenly decided to hold a convention.
