This is a long shot I know I am looking for advice on anyone that may have a left hand 257 weatherby. I am curious to know what brand you have how you like it and how it shoots. I am just looking to see what my options are and what other people have to say about their weapons.

Thanks

I have one-- it is a custom built on a trued Rem 700 Left Hand Magnum Bolt Face. Shoots great running a 1-7.5" proof 26" barrel with 115 VLD and 131 Blackjacks

The only 'production' .257wby in LH you will find is in the MKV series from Weatherby or maybe a Blaser.

I would love to see pics of it. I have an old 7mm bdl I am thinking as using as a donor for the 257 mag build

Did you rebarrel the 257 I sold you or is this a different gun?

I have an older (German) MK V bought several years ago from Skeeter's Weatherby. They show an Accumark on the website, but it is better to call. The only downside with mine is the slow twist. The older bullets work fine for me though.

I have a weatherby accumark. It's a nice gun, the short bolt throw is nice. It's just a little heavy and long for my mainly spot and stalk hunting. I keep considering selling it (need to thin my herd, I have a 25-06, 260 rem, 6.5 CM), but haven't brought myself to do it yet.

I have a LH Weatherby 257 ultra lightweight with 26" barrel (factory) with a brake. Love the lite weight on this rifle.
It shoots 120 gr. nosler partitions into tiny groups. Love everything about the rifle, just never gets used.
It sits idle because of a custom LH 243 catbird, that shoots unbelievable little groups. Catbird loves the 85 gr. TTSX's at 3800 fps.
Joel Ackerman put the catbird together, could not be happier.

That's pretty typical performance of a Blaser.

I am visiting Dave Tooley tomorrow about a custom build 257 weatherby. KS Brown stocked Lefty, stiller action, Bartlien barreled. we will see if he can talk{$$$$$} me out of it.

If it ain't broke don't fix it!!!!!!!!!!!
