3/4” ball end mill if the forend is rigid enough to handle it, which I kind of doubt.

Have you tried a wood rasp? That's what I always used on wooden stocks.

Thanks, the forend is fairly rigid, but not rigid enough for me to attempt to use a mill with a ball end mill of any sort.

I will get me a couple of dowel rods and some sand paper of various grits and get to work. I have done it with wood and laminate stocks, wasn't sure if the synthetic would clean up enough to look presentable.

Thank you fellas!

Dowel rod with coarse sandpaper or emery paper, 60 or 80 grit. Most of the time I use a deep socket rather than a dowel, a set will have any size you need.

This. Depending on the sand paper thickness and as you open it up, change sockets to a bigger one. Works great.

Go to your local NAPA store and buy a couple boxes of Air File sandpaper strips. They're self adhesive and will stay put on your clean dowel rods or deep sockets. They go from 36 grit all the way to 220 grit.

Yep on the deep sockets wrapped with strips of coarse grit. Finish it all off at the end with a few strokes of finer grit. I generally bed the action afterwards with a tape donut on the barrel for float/clearance.

It likely amounts to heresy on here, but I also have a few of those SPS stocks that I added a few ounces of bullets in the forearm slots and then epoxied over. Didn't add much overall weight, but can make a 20-21" barrel balance more like a 24". Stiffened things up a bit also.

Now with even more aplomb
