Took a pickup load of red chili peppers and dumped them out for the chickens a few years ago.
They lived off those peppers for quite awhile!
They loved them.
Yolks when they were eating those peppers were orange. Eggs tasted great!

It will make their eggs taste like a banana cream pie....................or maybe not... Funny! Yesterday a neighbor gave me a bag of flaming hot chips, we don't eat them so I gave them to the chickens. Told my wife I was making hot and spicy chicken 😃

You're supposed to make banana nut bread out of those. The nanners, not the chickens. Brings back a memory from when I was about 10 or so, I shot a jack rabbit and threw it in the chicken pen, they reduced to little bits of fur in only a day or so.

Ours don’t care for bananas too much. They like melon and berries but apparently they’ve been spoiled and have sophisticated palates. 😁
