Does anyone have any experience with this piece?
I would like a decent 20 gauge double, over/under or sxs, for some bird hunting and clays. I have limited opportunities for both. $5000 would be a huge stretch on my budget. I just don't want junk.
Thank you, Jim

I'm wanting one in 28 gauge . Just beautiful SxS shotguns in my opinion. It would complement my 28 gauge Onyx pro field.

It is a beautiful and lively gun. I am not a fan of automatic safeties. But I wouldn't let that keep me from buying one. It is far from junk and at roughly $5K it is probably a reasonably priced gun for what you are getting. From my experiance wood differs so if you are going to buy shop around for wood that you fancy.
There are other Side by Sides in the same ball park that are also great guns. But I don't know what your criteria is.

I would go to one of the Beretta Showrooms and also talk to Richie Cole.

Thank you for your input gentlemen.
I saw one at Bass Pro in Memphis last weekend. It was behind glass so I never touched it. But, it was pretty. It was next to a $83,000 Beretta o/u.
I am not solely looking at a 486. I get to go pheasant hunting this fall and I want a good double, o/u or sxs, that is also quality and a bit sexy. I want to get it before June so I have plenty of time at the clay range.
I am not an expert shotgunner. But, I don't suck at it either.
I really do appreciate any input.
Thank you again.

You may want to checkout some AYA's very nice Spanish made guns.
Fausti DEA British Line is a fine side by side.
We could help you a lot better if you decided which you prefer a side by side or an Over and Under.
The Zoli Pernice Round Body is a very nice OU.
The Caesar Guerini Ellipse EVO Light is a very nice OU but a little more than $5K, I believe about $7500 to $8K

They are not junk, but I wouldn't pay 5K for a new one. $3500-$3800 for a slightly used one, probably....

I do not think I know enough about doubles to buy one. I probably should just use the pump that I have.
Thank you for all of your input.

Sunday I had the opportunity to shoot an o/u quite a bit. It was a winchester 101. I did pretty good with it. So, I guess I need an o/u. I will probably look at Browning and Beretta. Those appear to be well recommended on this forum and by the guys I know.
Thank you for tolerating me.
