I've been working with that bullet in my Blackhawk lately, but using the Lyman 358429 double cavity mold. I seem to be overcoming the vision problems that have plagued me for a while and I'm seeing better results, but it seems the 358156 is shooting a bit better with my powder choice, which is 2400. The difference I saw yesterday wasn't great and I need to test a little further. I hope the 358429 is as good as the 358156 because I'd like to get away from using gas checks. We'll see about it.

Good luck with it!

That's a good looking bullet. I have a few Arsenal Molds and have been happy with them. I don't have that mold but several others, all aluminum. They are very trouble free molds and seem to cast great right out of the chute.

i have been casting both 35 8156 and the 35 8429 . the 429 hits like the hammer of thor. mine i did just at the light end of the 357 mag velocities. i like those driving bands.
know for a fact it cracks river rock.
