I used PTG metal for my CA Ridgeline

http://pacifictoolandgauge.com/remi...ottom-metal-stealth-cip-3850-length.html

Then Accurate Mags for it. Mine is a 300 RUM but you can alter the feed lips to make it feed the way you want pretty easily.

On my Rem 700 based 300 PRC I'm using Hawkins M5 CIP-length bottom metal and CIP-length AICs, 300RUM mags. No feeding issues - none what-so-ever.

I am going to run this as well.

I do not like the magazine release on the PTG. I know some guys trim it down, which kind of supports my thoughts. The Seekins has a button out of the way which I like. The Hawkins has a push tab that is clean and out of the way as well. Both to me are much better thought out and designed.

That style Seekins DBM is no longer made.

If your looking for flush, check out APA's RTG DBM. They offer it in SA, XM, LA, and LA CIP.

I use Hawkins more than anything on short actions.

That is one of the reasons why I have switched to the Hawkins.

The APA unit is probably the best bet on a hunting rig due to the narrowed front trigger guard area with the mag release tabs being flush to the trigger guard.
