I'm looking for a set of offset irons that will work with this MI mount and optic. This Troy rear sight is as far forward as the shell deflector will allow but I've lost ambi functionality on the charging handle. Are y'all using any lower profile versions that would preserve ambi functionality with the charging handle?

Have you looked at the KAC version?
Looks like MI makes similar for a lot less.

Besides the KAC's, which as I am sure you know are very expensive, you might look at the ones from Griffin Armament, they are similar to KAC. I've not used their sights but several of their other products & they've been helpful............take a look, give them a call; I imagine they can tell you if there's any interference or not. Is there a reason they have to be so tall? You're not going to be shooting more than a couple hundred yards with them. Why not just have something that doesn't fold but is only about 1/4" - 1/2" tall? You could build it with a hood over it to streamline it.

I talked to old buddy from Leander yesterday he said Best of the West closed, what’s up with that. Land developer bought the property behind them and basically sued them into submission over rounds allegedly leaving the property. We had to move all of our stuff to Reveille in Burnet and now we're driving out there for practice. It's ridiculous.

They've gotta be on the right side for a right handed shooter, so you can roll the rifle slightly to get behind them.

Same reason sights and optics have to be mounted so high.
