Which arsenal produced the action and what is the serial number ? Is the barrel the original G.I. or an aftermarket replacement ? Is is marked as to the maker ?

Serial # 3517094 Original barrel. I’m 68, I have had the gun since I was 10. Has always shot factory and hand loads inch.

Gun was made by Remington. Remington made all of the 1903A3 rifles. This one dates from late March, 1943. Looks like it still has the original trigger guard and mag plate as well. Original barrels were 4 groove and shoot very well. Four groove kept the bore cleaner for longer. I like the magazine cut-off that was designed into the 1903 and maintained in the 1903A3.
