I remember a thread discussing options/opinions for a gun belt for carrying purposes. I tried the search function but could not find it. Can anybody help me out or offer their own opinion?

Thanks

Depends a lot on WHAT you are carrying, mode of carry and what else you want to hang on the belt itself. For instance, concealed or open? Tell us more and you'll get better answers. You don't need something expensive necessarily, but you need something stiff enough that it won't sag.

I agree that more information is always good. Open carry for now but conceal carry in the future. Midsize auto, like a Glock 19 or the FN 509 midsize. Nothing else on the belt.

I have checked out Hanks and they seem like a fine product.

Thanks

For leather a horsehide Beltman. For synthetic a Wilderness FF 5 stitch is superb.

I wear an Ares reinforced belt with a Aegis buckle.

I’m not kidding when I say it’s changed my life.

I have been wearing their Ultimate Elephant Gun Belt for the past year and it is outstanding and of excellent quality and they are a great company to deal with. Their prices are very reasonable and they ship quickly.

I wear the Emissary 2.0 Belt. Similar to the Ares.

I have two: a one and a half inch wide from Beltran sized for OWB and a one and a half inch wide from Milt Sparks sized for IWB CARRY. Both are good and stiff and work fine for their purpose.

I have a leather belt from relentless tactical and really dig it. Even with a heavy 92a1 iwb, no problems.
