Tim is an American PH who abandoned his family in the US to live and work in Zimbabwe. Formerly a guide for dangerous game, he now works for a photo safari lodge near Victoria Falls.

Tim is enjoying his life except for the guilt of leaving his family, but he just loves the simpleness of living in the wilds of Zimbabwe. He has 10 American clients in camp when the brutal dictator dies and a General Sibanda, who is even worse than the dictator, takes over the government in a military coup.

All foreigners are ordered out of Zimbabwe. There are reports that the airports may be unsafe, so Tim makes other arrangements to get his clients safely out of Zimbabwe.

I had ordered the Kindle version for my tablet. It sat there for over a year, but I read this weekend. It is a good read. IIRC, Tim Farron is a member on the fire. I thought he had a second novel, but I can't find it.

"Sibanda" is worth reading.
