Ya got me again. Haven't known or fired one in years.
My mechanic has 3 of them and wants to buy mine.
When he gets 5 of them he'll probably be able to come to work every day .
Mines gotten me to work every day for the last 5 years.

It’s a 2009 with Hemi and that makes a difference. Or so I’m told!

I guess there all plastic and aluminum now! They had some GMC pickups that had been repaired that cost $1200 so I guess I was lucky. I’m glad he gave me and estimate before the work!

Bet you have lots of little broken tabs and snapped off screw heads in/around the grill and facia securing too

At least a 2004 GC still had a solid front axle.
Prefer the ZJ though.
Easy radiator change on a ZJ.

Paid a guy to change my wheel bearings and cv axles.
Weather sucked. Wanted it done quick. Garage full of kids/ ol lady chit.

I just signed up to work the weekend in the plant.

Was easier to pay for the fix by working a Sat rather than lay in wet driveway cussin and bashin.

Sucks, as its still money spent. And I used to do all repairs.
But with less time and space and a bum back.....sometimes paying somebody else is a bargain.

My truck was fixed right and ready for hunting season.

It's cool when you do it on your own.
btdt.
Might even buy good high strenght and high temp ones.

Not cool when someone else is doing it and your paying good money for fraud basically.

I don't have Hemi, but the radiator was outside the fan last I checked. So a crammed tight engine bay does really factor... unless it has fancy trim, but Jeep doesn't have those plastic push body fasteners that look like screws..(so the radiator guy wasnt spinning those in vain..)..and any sort of front spoiler shouldn't make a difference...

Ive paid good money for chitty work. Why I did all my own afterward, for decades.

Luckily a good shop is close by.
Their electrical dude knew how to reset the dreaded Grand Cherokee theft deterent kill ( intermittent and no alarm ).

Cost me 150 for a reset switch put in.
Only used a few times, but it worked.

Coyote hunting way out, at night.....yeah. Nice to have just in case.

Many a cream puff GC was dumped for that issue.
Die any time, any place. Might fire right back up. Might take an hr or a day. Never know.

Might do it once every few months or couple times a week.

150 bucks for a good work around.

Sweet.

120 130 dealer range here in clarksville.
80 85 bucks at ford for em to run a diagnostic.

Kinda dated info.
Looking out for soldiers back in the day.
Mechanics and dealerships new and used around Ft campbell are snakes.
Thing that kills me is alot of em are retired military ripping off young soldiers that are naive and have no vehicle knowledge .
Fugging snakes........
Always, always sent a team leader or squad leader with a joe that wasnt vehicle smart to get stuff on vehicles done around here and a ride back to work.
If joe didnt want help and got ripped off on something that coulda been stopped or spotted in the 1st place
Then it was on him to go to JAG and seek their help
All part of being a leader in garrison, take care of your joes if they accept the advice and help.

Alot of em actually wind up on off post establishment off limits list that soldiers are not allowed to conduct business with.
Process goes thru BBB, local city govt, CID, JAG then up to CG for sign off and distrubution to units.
Bars, cars, mechanics, check cashing places.
As of last couple of years even pawn shops have some stipualtions on em with active duty guys around here.
All the usual ripp off artist around any military town across the nation.
