I picked up a 300 Win Mag. (Savage 110 High Country)
I have a working magazine COAL of 3.475”. I’m having good results with 168gr Amax, but the internet said I’ll burn out my barrel quick shooting lighter bullets like this.😏

So I got some 212 ELDX before doing my proper homework on the length of these bullets. They are designed to seat longer than my magazine. I’m going to try the 3.475” COAL with some IMR 7977, AA4350, and RL-23.

I told all of you this to preface these questions.
1. Should I even do this? (Yup, gonna do it)
2. Has anyone else seated these 212 ELDX at mag length with any success?
3. What 200gr options can be seated to mag length with success. (I found the JBM list of bullet lengths. 212 ELDX are 1.590” long. Saw some 200 offerings to include Sierra and Barnes at 1.2-1.3 ish lengths)
