A Hall County husband and wife are behind bars after authorities seized 30 weapons and $80,000 worth of drugs from their home on Monday, investigators said.


Joshua Rairigh Schultz, 38, and Jamie Lynn Schultz, 33, face a bevy of charges, including marijuana trafficking, after members of Hall County’s Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad raided their Gainesville home as part of an ongoing drug investigation into the couple.

Inside, police discovered more than 18.5 pounds of marijuana, more than 38 grams of hash oil, psilocybin mushrooms, 175 prescription narcotics, THC-infused candy, digital scales and a cash counting machine, investigators said.Authorities also discovered 30 firearms, a bulletproof vest and a large cache of ammunition, investigators said in a news release. One of the pistols seized during the raid had its serial number scratched off. A small amount of cocaine was also seized.

In addition to the guns and drugs, police also collected more than $10,000 in cash believed to be the couple’s drug proceeds. The Schultzes are charged with trafficking marijuana as well as possession of marijuana, THC oil, psilocybin mushrooms, amphetamine pills, alprazolam, oxycodone, hydrocodone and the muscle relaxer carisoprodol with intent to distribute. They’re also charged with possession of cocaine and MDMA, and possession of a pistol with an altered serial number, records show.

Joshua Schultz faces 30 counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon while his wife is charged with possessing a firearm during the commission of a felony, authorities said.Both remain held at the Hall County Jail without bond, online records show.
