Husqvarna 51 bought new in the early 90s. Its been 2nd string and just sitting there for years. Wanted to get it all tiddly and start packing it on the atv and such, not surprisingly it wasn't happy. Cleaned the carb once, little better but not right. Took it apart again this time the 30 year old fuel line broke or should I say crumbled. I study the gymnastics needed to get a new fuel line in there totally blind in the little tank..... screw it, I've been meaning to try out the local logging gear/saw shop since we moved here and she ain't seen hired help ever so its time dropped it off last week. They even got a Husqvarna emblem on the door Get the call today its done. New fuel line and filter, new plug, carb cleaned in their ultrasonic cleaner (never even heard of using those on carbs), tuned up and ready to go. 1/2 hour labor, the bill - $58. I couldn't get it out of my wallet quick enough I would probably be in to hour 3 trying to figure out how to get the fuel line in right. Plus buddy comes out of the back to bs and a pep talk .. don't worry he says when they've been sittin that long you'd be awful lucky to get it right just spraying carb cleaner. The ultrasound is your friend there. Now that's how you earn customers more than fair price, know what you're doing and personal service. Anything I need that they sell I'm there. Notice they've got some really good outdoor clothing there to boot..

Good service guy there! Just took two Husqvarnas to my repair guy today to tune up. One was leaking fuel when full. Hope my bill is as light as yours was.

I miss good service
Last stihl Service I got from an authorized dealer, I got my saw handed back to me in a 5 gallon bucket.
Rural King; shop man had been in a car wreck, they didn’t tell me that part of the story. The store mgr just kept saying “Ben or Carl wtf is really stacked up, got about 15 saws ahead of yours”
Got that story for about 6 weeks.
Finally went down there to get my saw, well it was in 117 pieces. All I wanted was a new carb installed, and the tank flushed out. Dude starts showing me scars and stictches and bruises from his car wreck. Hey man IDGAF, I might have been sympathetic if your store mgr wasn’t lying to me when I called to check on it a couple times.

I've had similar run arounds with vehicles a couple times had little choice where I used to live it sucked. I'm used to ordering parts with about a 60% success rate of the right part showing up a week later. Bring those outfits to civilization and they'd be broke so fast it'd make their head spin.

Got my Stihl 029 back in a cardboard box full of parts and the moron told me they couldn't fix it. Took it to the John Deere/other Stihl dealer and they actually lost it. I bought a couple Jonsored's and never looked back.

Yup I won't ever be in the penny pinching mood in there, if I have to pay another 10-15 bucks for real wool Stanfield sweater I was looking at over some mega store I'll do it. They have a ton of non common hardware, fasteners and industrial stuff there too I'll be back to scope them out more.
