Anyone know the minimum OAL you can seat the 75 Amax (older) to in a .223 and still keep the ogive above the mouth of the case?
Mag box is modded but the rifle seems to have a shorter throat than several others I load for....at least from initial test for kiss. Not sure how short I can load them. It will be a while before I'm back to playing with it and thought I'd ask here to see if anyone had a known min OAL number. Thanks

I would say about 2.35" Hornady's oal is 2.39" and you should be able to get a few hundredths more. For what it's worth, some folks have seated deeper than the ogive and they still worked. Looked funny, but worked.
