Flew down to Texas to do a quick 3 day hunt by Turkey, Texas, home of Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys

Reasonable priced hunt. Pm me if interested. He has a few more openings

Some beautiful country and drove out one day to Palo Duro and Caprock Canyon to see the buffalo

Most of the hunting was in stands on the edge of large fields surrounded by thick areas and /or canyons

Butchered and saved the meat. Fantastic eating. Took the back straps, shoulders, hind quarters.

A. I can't explain it but I LOVE that type of country.....(except in Texas > LOL )
We've spent time in Arizona, Sedona, Flagstaff, etc. Red dirt, red rocks beautiful.

B. IS that a mineral rich soil where the Buff are "LICKING" ?
That's what it made me think of anyway.

Thanks for posting. Looks Like You Had A G R E A T time.

I have seen WT do that for:

A Salt that was either a natural content or poured on stumps and dissolved into the dirt.

B Some (?) mineral that was naturally in that area.

Thnx

Beautiful photos and congrats on the hunt. I have only visited that area never hunted there. But it is surprising how you have that miles and miles of (flat) Texas and then it opens up to really beautiful scenery.

Very nice. Is that an entry or exit wound on the pig?

Bob Wills once rode a horse 50 miles to hear Bessie Smith perform.
