I'm thinking about purchasing a 3 pt. quick hitch for my tractor. Never been around one or used one so not sure if they are really worth it, or not. 3 of my 4 implements have PTO, so I'm curious, does the quick hitch make it harder to get into the PTO to attach and detach? Figure I probably only change between implements a dozen times a year, maybe.
Opinions welcome.
Laws aren't preventative measures. In other words, more laws won't prevent gun crime from happening.

Yes it will make your life much easier.As for the PTO,it really isn't that hard as long as it's cleaned and greased for easy on and off.The safety guards are really the biggest PITA.

The one that I just bought came with a quick hitch. I had to modify my rear hay fork to fit it, and it still doesn't pick it up high enough to suit me. When hay feeding time is over, and I'll start using the tractor for field work, I'm taking the quick hitch off. I don't use 3 point hitch implements on it except for the hay fork, so it's not really going to help me.

So is there any downside to a quick hitch? Yes,you have to get off the tractor to lock down the latches on the hitch after you hook up.I will have to say it is also the safest way to hook up equipment.
