... are making it extraordinarily difficult to access the Campfire for me.

It ONLY happens on the Campfire and nowhere else. Phony alerts from a scam-looking web site saying I have to update Adobe Flash. "Click here" Obviously I'm not going to do that.

It's freaking relentless and covers almost the entire screen. (MacBook Air and Safari)

Anybody else having trouble with this? (I'm not sure I'm even going to get this to post up.)

Not possible with a Mac. Or so I'm told.

But since that's obviously untrue, you ought to at least try a different browser than Safari - known to be - shall we say...porous? Or, if Safari allows it, install uBlock Origin as an add-in, which pretty much solves any intrusive bad stuff. Install it in ANY browser, in fact.

I'm using Safari with ad blocker plus. Working OK today- not so well last couple days. Yesterday was terrible!

this is a server side hack , contact 24CF , with Chrome you can block redirection by server and i block any redirection from 24CF and it works. Safari has the same feature.

Just a word, las. AB+ is nowhere NEAR as good as uBlock Origin. try it, you'll see.

The last time I shut down my Mac, I got a notice upon restart that there was a dangerous program that should be removed. Once I did so (by clicking the prompt), the Adobe Flash Update BS stopped.

I had been using Ad Blocker Plus, but updated my OS recently. That’s when the problem started.

iPad iOS 13.3.1, using Safari with pop up blocker on with AB+ as I type. Haven’t seen an ad or phony warning Since I got the thing almost 3 years ago.
Same with my laptop using Win10, IE11, pop up blocker on AB+, Malwarebytes premium.
Ohh my I just noticed nobody said install Linux to cure the woes.😆

Switching OS is not the best answer to his problem, Swifty.

Nobody would ever tell you to switch to Linux. It's only for people smart enough.

Naw Rocky its only for those who screw the pooch on setting up a dual boot, or those without the smarts to avoid the problems. I know you fit the first and evidently since I don’t have the problems, then I don’t fit either category.

Yep my Mac at home freezes with this if I get on this site.

I have ad blocker on my IPhone so it isn’t an issue.

OK- did some checking and googling. I'm running MacBook Air and Safari also.

24HCF is whitelisted on my AB+. It is the only site so, as I don't buy a lot there, and I figure Rick deserves at least that much patronage from me.

There was apparently a legit update from Adobe, which was not checked in my settings to auto-allow in my Adobe settings. It was notification only.

It is now auto-update checked. I'll run my free version Malwarebytes next to confirm it is legit.

No problems on my desktop and it has the long since deprecated Windows 7. That fake Adobe notice has been around forever.

If you Google "flash update" the top site referenced is get.adobe.com which is the one legitimate site. Dont forget to opt out of the other junk they want to send you.

I was having fits with the Adobe crap for a couple of days, then it stopped yesterday. GREAT! Started again today, though! I'm not so sure it is coming from The Campfire, though. Came up sometimes when I had no attempts to get on the campfire.

[bleep] who program stuff like that need to be sent to a deep, dark dungeon!

It was getting me for several days. Just in the evenings and only on the site. My wife updated the operating system on this iPad. No more problems. Not adobe, the actual operating system. I think it is now 13 something
