In two weeks I have a vacation of debauchery planned in New Orleans - hotel in the quarter, planning on being on a 3 day drunk with my wife. I've had this planned for like 6 months.

how many of you would still go on this vacation given the current climate? - let me rephrase to eliminate all the New Orleans haters (I can't imagine there are any but whatever) - how many of you would still go on a vacation where you mingle with people?

Not me. But with the situation as it is around here at present, I don't want to fill my car up because of having to grab onto the gas pump handle.

Fomites are not a method of transmission.

Well, the odds of you catching the flu..er I mean the Corona, are greater than you winning the powerball or being in an airplane crash.... Math isn't hard..

Follow your instincts.

Right now your instincts are telling you it's a bad idea. That's why you posed the question.

In two weeks, don't be surprised if there is a lot of measures taken to isolate this virus. Like closing of party places.

I would go. This virus isn't a death sentence any more than the more common flu going around, it appears.

I for one won't live in a bubble. Just use your head.

IMHO, if you're under, say, 50 years old - go... If you're older than, say, 55 - I'd pass, unless you're both very healthy and w/o any serious medical issues..

My concern isn't the verified cases. It's the non verified cases.

I think there's a lot of people walking around with Corona that aren't known.

Once an area is given a reason to start looking,..they start finding.

Also,...as previously mentioned, that stuff seems contagious as hell,..as evidenced by how it runs through places where people are crammed together. Cruise ships and conventions being two that have been in the news.

Worse would be away from home and can’t fly back. I would not want to be dependent on air travel for the next couple months. Might be a one way trip.

We are a couple of weeks behind Italy, the choice to go or not might not be yours.
