Dang GWB!

You should just retire and take pics for a living.

You could do a knife calendar.

Great pics as always.

Only have a couple Menefees. 3 from Rick, 3 from Rocky.

Perhaps it is the FUBAB of which you speak.

Not so much these days, but from time to time I had the pleasure of palavering with Rick. One night late, were were talking. Rick may have had a beverage or two. He mentioned that he didn't like the way one of his knives was shaping up. He said it was FUBAR. I said what the hey, do what you can to save it and send it my way. At that time I had about a dozen of his blades and not one was a slacker.

Well, I got it in it definitely was not FUBAR, I decided to call it the FUBAB, (Friggin Unbelievably Bad Azz Blade).

I only have 2 Menefee's. A Rick 12ga proto, and a Rocky 16bore. They are great smallgame/bird/fur knives

Rick is also making me a lil dumpling. I sent him some camo G-10 for scales, and he finished the knife a few weeks ago and the pouch sheath has been done for two. Maybe he'll get it in the mail to me, someday soon.....

Short, Fat, Bald, old Texans that shoot ear-tagged deer tied to feeders don't get much respect.

I told Rick I needed a knife with much 'Ju-Ju'.

He said this "boner" would throbbbb with authority when in the hand.......

gwp, mine is S35V. judman, it is camo G-10 that was 3/8ths thick. I either got it on ebay or amazon. Those brown layers are kinda 'grainy' like wood, tho. I wish Rick would have noticed the color orientation of the layers and put the same side of the material towards the tang. They would have looked the same from either side thatta way. But hey, I can't see both sides at the same time anyway....

After using that flapper-style sheath for the lil dumpling for a while, I decided I just didn't like all that leather flopping around after taking the knife out. So, I had Larry make me a pouch without the flapper and snapper. Got it today and branded it like the resta them. Made a positive retention kydex liner, filled the sheath with water until it wetted out, and then jammed the whole works in there. Hung it out in the sun all day to form and dry. Tonight I oiled the pizz outta it and rubbed it out. Turned out sweet......

Surprised you needed the liner if the leather was form fit to the knife. It is a pretty deep sheath. Looks good.

Don't 'need' the liner. But it stiffens up the whole works and locks the knife in. Never a worry about the knife slipping out, without a healthy tug. And you can feel it 'snap' in...... And never a worry about cutting the welt or stitches. I do it to all my pouch-type sheaths.

Only one I own for now. Might not be apparent, but it's perfect for trout fishing. Cutting line and tails off knots, gutting trout, you name it. Fits the hand perfect. That hung around my neck and a pair of 6" hemostats I keep clipped to my shirt/coat is all I need.
Eyes open for a 16bore if I can find anybody that wants rid of one. So far, no luck.
