A friend who passed a couple of years ago had a 318, 338-06, and 333 OKH. He was fervently searching for a 333 Jeffrey when he passed. His 333 OKH was a custom Springfield by one of the name makers from when it was popular. He also had a big stack of the old Hornady 250 grain .333 round nose bullets for it. While he admitted it had no benefit over the 338-06, he loved it because it was unusual and it was a beautiful old gun. He also loved his 318. I forget who made it but it was on a Mauser action by an English builder. He lived in Florida and had used both it and the OKH on a number of hogs. He said they both made hogs give up quickly. He worked with me on the slope here in Alaska. One of the few guys on the crew who could speak the same dialect of gun as me. We spent many shifts during phase 3 blizzards, discussing old guns and cartridges. I sure miss him.

Yes, according to him, three peas in pod.

I had a .333 OKH belted for a while. It was made by Charlie O’ Neal on a 1917 action. I had a large number of Barnes 200 and 300 grain bullets. It was a fun gun to shoot. I ran 338 Win mag cases through the 333 die and they were ready to go.

I really enjoy my 338-06's.

Absolutely no desire to own a 333, but a 318 could tempt me.

I own a Dakota Classic Deluxe in 338-06 that I like very much.

Don't feel the need for either of the other two.

Nosler has (6) different loads in factory ammo, from 180 to 250 grs.

Got a 338-06 and a 318 WR. Being pressed for time these days, well, ever since having kids, I much prefer the .338-06. Just easier.
