Commies? I'd be more worried about all the sugar britches.

Yea, looks like all of the shops here. I couldn't believe it when I stopped in, never seen the gun racks that bare. Lots of first time guys asking the counter guys silly questions.

Was listening to podcast yesterday.

Gun store owner talking about ammo hoarding.

If he leaves his prices the same, a few buys it all up.

If he raises prices, more people have a chance of getting a little bit. But then he’s a scalper.

Duh! All he has to do is limit purchase amounts. Our store leaves prices alone but right now we're only selling ammo with gun purchasers or shooters on our range. Handgun buyers can buy 2-50rd boxes or range ammo (or one bulk pack) and 1-20rd box of jhps. That keeps the most customers happy. You can't sell guns if you don't have ammo to go along with them.

That's what occurred to me, too. Dumb letting all his ammo go when he still had guns for sale that wouldn't be purchases without some ammo to go with it.

My LGS seems to have plenty..... ammo, components, guns.....literally display cases full of 1911s. black rifles.
They are, however, selling a LOT of guns !

He could limit the amount he puts on the shelf at any given time.....

Really, thats a BS excuse from someon who just doesnt want ot appear to be taking advantage of the situation to flirt with gouging while selling guns and ammo. You could have a a per person or per visit limit. Even if you continuously walk back out and into the store, it'll slow the extreme bulk purchaser down.

He could leave the prices the same and limit quantities to 5 boxes or something
