Sold a 3XL SSL top lot Marten for $206 on the last sale. It helps compensate for the $40 ones.

I know this is an older thread, but here are the prices for the auction in Fallon from last year, 2019, if anyone interested. Curious to see what this year brings.

We got a couple yotes Saturday night and I checked the Petska website for prices. Not real current but said northern coyotes were bringing $50-$100 on the cob and $20-$30 if well turned out. Also had a comment from somebody in Kansas who said a buyer offered him $5 a piece for nice bobcats!!’ Petska said little to no demand for ‘cats...wth?

I sold another batch yesterday. I had 12 coyotes that were finished that avged. $80/ea. and 16 more on the carcass that avged. $36./ea.

Seems coyote market maintains strong, compared to about every thing else.

How much longer will they stay prime? Or is it too late to start now?

Our coyotes should be similar would think .

It won't be long now before they start to rub, but you do still have time. Those Montana coyotes should bring more than these eastern Colo. coyotes do, on avg.

Was calling them in western Ks two days ago. My brother traps there. He said they are past prime. We called and shot several. He said not worth putting them on a stretcher.

A friend of mine sold 78 or 79 at the auction in Hugo, CO. and the prices were way below what they had hoped for. Apparently this coronavirus thing in China has really hit the fur market.
Anyone else hearing or seeing the same?
I'll go to the fur buyer again this coming Tuesday, maybe he'll have the low down on it.

TR I have 15 stretched and dried I was supposed to take to a buyer this weekend. I called ahead and he said don't bother bringing them. The market for eastern fur has completely collapsed due to this KungFlu shiit. I was able to fold them over and get them in my chest freezer for now but who knows haw they will look in the fall.

The chances they come, and the chances they go.

I guess we shouldn't be surprised that the market has collapsed and honestly I won't be surprised if there is no market come this next winter. Guess we'll all have to wait and see how this covid shakes out and how the world economy recovers. I guess cross your fingers that you get to sell them before they freezer burn completely. Would suck to do all that work and not get at least some compensation for it.
If it turns out that there is no market for fur next winter, it'll suck, especially after these last few good years. I guess though, I look for the bright spot in it all, there won't be nearly as many hunters out looking to cash in and those of us that just do it because it eats us up will have all the fur bearers to ourselves.

I sold a batch of 30 put up eastern Montana coyotes the beginning of March. There were half a dozen that were rubbed in the bunch. Couple of those brought $25 each, but I still averaged $85 on the lot.
