It’s been very accurate with any good 150 gr bullet in 30-06, about 52.5 gr. Decades ago I loaded for a lot of folks, and I found that if a rifle wanted to shoot, it would with this load. Probably over 20 rifles, no exceptions.

Also use it even more in the .220 Swift.

Also not bad in .375.

30-06 150 grain loads, 300 Savage 150 grain loads, and 243 100 grain loads. I have also had good results in the 7-08 with 120 grain bullets. In my opinion one of the better all around powder options but I am old. Have never tried it in the .270 but I know people who swear by it.

Any cartridge based on the 57mm Mauser case. Also about anything on the 308 case. I've had good results in longer cases also such as the 9 X 71 Peterlongo though a slower powder would probably be more suitable for long cases for those who like to chase velocity.

22-250; 225 Win; 257R; 270; 7x57; 30'06; 300 Sav. Versatile powder which has provided excellent accuracy in lots of cartridges.

Most anything.

I have used it in the 223/556 up to the 35 Whelen.

A lot has been used in the 30-06.

Don't use it anymore, but in 1974, with a Savage 99A in 308, I bought a Lee Loader, and the little chart told me a dipper full of 4064 would work with 150 grain bullets. I shot a lot of those loads, and 150 grain spire points killed deer well. I still remember the wonderful smell when I opened that blue can of 4064. My Uncle Bill loaded 4064 in his .300 Savage with good results....those deer dropped too.

I use it in about anything I load... from 223 up to 338/06.... Its a main go to powder in anything from 22.250, on up...

sure it may at times be a 100 fps less than say a 4350 load.. but it will always yield fantastic accuracy...
regardless of rifle, cartridge or bullet....

I bought it as a substitute for IMR4895 in my Garand. I tried it in other calibers and it gave me only mixed results. SO now I have about 1 1/2# left.

I use it in my 22-250. It out performed all the other powders I tried as far as accuracy goes with 55 gn. BT’s.

I've used it in 35 Remington, 300 Savage, 356 Win, 358 Win, 270 Win, 280 Rem. There's powders that work better for me in most of them for velocity, sometimes accuracy, but if I had to pick one powder for an all arounder, it'd be one of my first ones. Very versatile.

It’s been OK in my experience. I much prefer IMR 4895 or RL15 in that burn rate. I wouldn’t pass it up if the price was right though.

Thanks, Dinny

223 with 55 grain bullets.

22-250 with 40-60 grain bullets. Same with 220 Swift.

243 with anything 80 grains and lighter, same with 6mm Remington.

Did use it in a 25-06 with 100 grain bullets once. Was pretty accurate.

270 with 110 grain Sierra.

30-06 with 150 grain bullets.

Was a good load in all of the above.

For what rifles/cartridgesI have now it would work, maybe not the best but damn sure useable.

Varget is my go-to 308 powder, but I keep 4064 around. To be honest I can get the same speeds and accuracy with either powder. The only reason I prefer Varget is the resistance to temperature swings. But Varget can at times be hard to find while 4064 is usually still on the shelves. If I'm working up a load that I know will only be used at the range I'll use the 4064 and save Varget for hunting loads.

Used 4064 in my 308’s since 1978. Switched to Varget 2 years ago & am as happy with it too. I now use 4064 for fireforming.
