Does anyone know where i can find a heavier bolt for a 10/22 for a Mach 2? I was lucky enough to find 2 barrels from Voquartzen in 17 Mach 2. Has printed on barrel to use a Mach 2 bolt. Any help appreciated. Tried Voquartzen but no luck. Thanks.

Try looking on the 17HM2 forum at rimfirecentral.

I had a couple of 10/22s that were converted to 17HM2 with Green Mountain barrels and a combination of stiffer recoil springs and heavier bolt handles. They were fun and worked OK if they were kept spotlessly clean. I decided that the juice wasn't worth the squeeze, so I converted them back to .22 LR.

Can these barrels be installed on a Ruger 77/22 or a Ruger American?

77/22s have a longer barrel tenon too, don't they?

When Green Mountain was closing out their 17HM2 barrels, the 96/17 barrels were preferred for 10/22 conversions because they were either drop-in or required less rework than the 77/17 barrels.

Brassman, here you go. 153868620520 this is the item number for a JWH Custom 17 Mach II bolt on ebay. They have 4 available. $99 shipped. I have one on my 10/22 that I converted to 17 Mach II and it works great.

The description says that this isn't a heavy bolt and that is requires a heavy charging handle to use this bolt on a 10/22 to 17HM2 conversion.
