I have had slews of em grow in my front yard.
On top of my pets graves the spring after the winter the year they died and then the next following spring.
2 years of Morrels on top of sonya,s and sweetheart,s dog graves
2 years of Morrels on top of simba,s and elmo,s cat graves.

I wont eat em.......

I have heard they also grow on top of human graves shallow buried with no casket.

Most all of the ones I've ever found have had bugs. The woods are full of them.

That's 100% normal in my area. Don't sweat it.

I just ate a bunch of them. Cut in half lengthwise, floured and deep fried. My nephew and his wife found a 1/3 of a cooler full of them today

James, do you have any idea at the number of little bugs you injest when eating beaver?

These staphylococcus laden bugs live by the tens of thousands in mens beards.

I first read the title I thought you said morals and worried you had become a Democrat.

Found a cooler full of giant yellows in Southern Ohio about 30 years ago while me and a buddy were turkey hunting. They were huge and most had a double wall. I cut mine in half and was soaking them in the sink when I noticed thousands of what looked like tiny slugs floating on the water. They were smaller than a fine pepper flake and wiggling like crazy. I rinsed each one under running water and changed the soak water at least ten times and just as many would float to the surface each time.
I considered eating them but just couldn't. My wife said "no way". It almost made me cry, but they got tossed.

I called my buddy to ask if he had seen the same thing. He said that he really didn't look that close before frying them up for lunch and that I had better never say a word to his wife!
