A fellow can't have too many boats!
In NW Ontario we have an old Appleby. Just for those lakes that are hard it get a boat into.
Trouble is with the non-resident limit of two walleyes the cost of high priced gas makes it not worth the drive to those lakes.

Can't see my way clear to borrowing for a boat. Seems that most of what I see on craigs list has seen better days.
Is there a better place to look than craigs list?

Get that middle one. You can use it and ding it up good and proper.

Wait a month or two, as this coronavirus stuff lingers on those that buy everything on credit will be unloading boats left and right. I suspect prices of used boats are going to fall soon.

Is there a better place to look than craigs list? I like local/regional classifieds papers. Many 'older' folks don't do online sales and good deals on well cared for items can often be found there. Local boating/fishing forums would also be a good bet.

$70,000 vs $25,000 vs $500.00. You decide.

I have a 14 foot jon boat with a 25hp motor that wasn't too expensive. While I like it, I realize it's not good for everything so I don't hesitate to pay people to take me out on more adventuresome outings. As they say, if it floats, flies, or ***** you're better off renting.

Be patient Watch Craig’s list. Have cash ready to snap up a good deal, you will find one.
6 years ago, I paid for a new boat and motor. I proceeded to scratch and dent it until it looked like an old beat up boat. That’s just the way I fish. Decided I needed something bigger and faster. Took my time until I found it. Doesn’t look new, but rated for twice the passengers and weight. Three times the horsepower. Cost me about half what the smaller “new” boat cost.
