Does anyone here remember Nancy Pelosi saying back during the Obama years that welfare was great because it put that money right back into the economy ?
If they’re gonna give out money, then EBT cards might be a better way to consider. A little harder to use those cards for purchasing dope on the street. Issue them with expiration dates so that they’re used for essentials. The system is already in place.
Just a thought that’s probably already been discussed here. Not a bad idea. Don’t do that to me, Beans. Please . I’m about to get my nuts stomped now ! Grins Sorry, but it is a good idea. And besides, these guys are truly ultrafeatherweights. You would never notice. They couldn't stomp a spider.

I can understand helping business's that had to shut down and employees who are, or might be laid off. But giving retirees money is just nuts. My wife and I are both retired so why is Uncle Sam giving us $1,200 each? We haven't worked in years. They could of cut 100's of billions from the package if they would of eliminated giving money to people who are no longer part of the work force. Or am I missing something? They want your vote in November.

My SIL is a CPA. It's her opinion this is only a loan. In other words. This will come out of our income tax returns until it is paid off. We owe $1800 this year. I really don't want them to send me $1200 and then ask for it and the $1800 back as well.
kwg It’s my opinion from what I have read is that this money will simply be added to w2 or 1099 as income. IOW, not a loan. I hope you are right Old Toot. I get a military pension and I don't have federal taxes taken out and my wife is self employed and she does not pay quarterly. We just even up at the end of the year. We are just going to send this bill to our kids and grand kids like we have been doing since LBJ. kwg

kwg
Precisely; whether it benefits me or not, I’d love to stop borrowing against our grand- and great-grand children’s future and that’s whether it’s a policy put forward by a D or someone I’ve voted for.

I don't see a lot of inflation in the Obama years. ............And you are no economist either IDIOT........Trump's growth #s pound Obummers. It wasnt inflation that Obummer caused. It was the draining of dollars for inept medical care! A program that hurt every working person in the country. And only helped, the never employed and illegal immigrants. Who pay no taxes! You can argue all you want, we all watched as medical care went to hell!

$5ish for breakfast 7ish for lunch
But remember we’re talking about granny that has to skip medication and make difficult decisions
But she can go burn gas in her Electra 225 and suck down $2 pizza and $1.50 corn dogs every day.
Makes sense right? Come on slum you know cash for clunkers took the 225 off the roads, be realistic! Lol How did you get that video of my mother? She enjoyed lighting up that one rear tire with that 455. Thanks for the memory.

I paid in to social security for 42 years of steady work, and several years part time befor that.
I, for one, feel that I'm way more deserving of a government 'hand out" than ANY of those welfare loafers, or illegals.

The same guys who complain about the national debt are suddenly OK with it getting even larger if some of the money goes into their pockets. The motto here seems to be that free s h i t is bad...…..until they are on the receiving end of getting it.
My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.
