With a review of her incompetent action plan so far it is obviously that Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer is overwhelmed with the responsibilities of her position during crisis.

surfacing; to make matters worse the governor is making up paranoid stories about vendors not providing products or fulfilling orders to her state.

Governor Whitmer claimed President Trump was orchestrating a plot against her by telling medical vendors not to supply Michigan. However, when pressed on the issue the governor refuses to provide any evidence. This is not a stable person.

Trump Slaps At Governors Of Washington, Michigan For Complaining During COVID-19 Effort

President Donald Trump criticized the Democratic governors of Michigan and Washington on Friday, saying they were complaining too much and not assisting the federal response to the coronavirus.

Trump said his interactions with most governors have been positive, including New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo. Cuomo has alternately praised and criticized the federal rresponse in recent weeks. Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and Washington Gov. Jay Inslee were the only state officials he said were doing poorly.

“He’s constantly chirping, and I guess complaining would be a nice way of saying it,” Trump said of Inslee. “We’re building hospitals. We’ve done a great job for the state of Washington.”

As for Whitmer: “She has no idea what’s going on, and all she does is say ‘oh, it’s the federal government’s fault.'”

I'm surprised that she hasn't tried to use this crisis to forcibly institute her 45 cent per gallon gasoline tax increase that was squashed by the Legislature.

We're closer to this than you are, and perhaps better informed. And maybe less apt to be sucked in by trolls spinning half truths.

Whitmer was far more proactive when Michigan case first popped up than Trump was when US cases appeared. Granted Michigan had the benefit of early experiences of other states. While Whitmer, in press briefings, did describe order delays/cancellations she did not, while I was listening, attribute the problem to Trump personally. Trump may have perceived this as criticism of his administrators and taken it personally, but that would be pretty thin skinned.

I do not recall seeing/hearing any personal finger pointing until Trump started it. Whitmer, rightfully so, was not having any of that.

IMHO, Trump is stirring the pot in advance of the 2020 elections and this is not constructive for dealing with the epidemic here or anywhere else in America.

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer suggested Friday that a growing rift with the White House is affecting shipments of medical supplies to Michigan amid exponential growth in confirmed coronavirus cases.

"When the federal government told us that we needed to go it ourselves, we started procuring every item we could get our hands on," Whitmer said Friday on WWJ 950AM. "What I've gotten back is that vendors with whom we had contracts are now being told not to send stuff here to Michigan. It's really concerning."

Whitmer didn't say who has told vendors to stop sending medical supplies to the state, but strongly implied the order came from President Donald Trump's administration.

In a Friday afternoon appearance on CNN, Whitmer did not back away from her earlier claim.

"We've entered into a number of contracts and as we are getting closer to the date when shipments are supposed to come in, they're getting canceled or they're getting delayed," Whitmer said. "We've been told they're going first to the federal government."

The governor's office could not provide any additional information Friday afternoon substantiating Whitmer's allegation.

Maybe she is trying to blame Trump now because she is trying to preempt being blamed when Detroit goes rabid and riots and loots in a week or two when the freebies dry up?

They will all flee north soon and spread it and she will have to figure out how to stop them. Blaming Trump now is setting the ground work for who she can blame when that happens.
