I wish Trump would say just once to the Camera. You know these democratic scumbags killed a lot of people by trying to take me out through Impeachment on a nuthingburger. We would have been way more prepared if I was allowed to concentrate on building up our response to this virus.

Either Trump has gone soft on those scumbags or he has something up his sleeve.

Right now, it's infuriating to watch.

In part, FoxNews reports,
Quote
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., called out President Trump on Sunday over his handling of the coronavirus pandemic, saying that his denial of the seriousness of the pathogen and his delay in ramping up the federal government’s response to it has proved “deadly” for Americans....

Members of Trump’s own Republican Party have also expressed skepticism in Trump’s boost to have the economy up and running by Easter.

Now people in glass homes should not throw stones, so I'll be the first to admit that Justin Trudeau, Canada's Prime Minister, has screwed up too, but even Canada is ratcheting down now and in no way is going to be business as usual by Easter.

I think John McCain would have made a better R President, there are better choices in Canada too, but at this point, we need leadership, we need to put politics aside and we need to follow CDC and WHO and Local Health Officer guidelines and don't panic. We will slow the spread of this Pandemic. Together.

I feel for those affected. It is difficult. Let's make the best of this historic and unprecedented situation.

The U.S. now has over 133,000 confirmed cases with test kits still lacking and over 2,300 deaths as of this morning. Canada has 5800 confirmed cases and 63 deaths, with both country's leading experts expecting this to grow exponentially over the coming weeks.

I could eat a bowl of alphabet soup and poop out a smarter statement than whatever you just said.

"Trump downplayed severity of coronavirus"

No, it was Donald Trump. Donald Trump said that. Do you know the definition of "downplay"? Here are some examples of downplaying:

January 22: Trump is asked about whether he is worried about coronavirus at the World Economic Forum: “No, not at all. We have it totally under control. It’s one person coming in from China, and we have it under control,” Trump told CNBC. “It’s going to be just fine.”

Feb 24: Trump tweets "The Coronavirus is very much under control in the USA." (in fact there was very little control by any standard, testing, no, containment, no)

Feb 26: Trump says "“We’re going to be pretty soon at only five people. And we could be at just one or two people over the next short period of time. So we’ve had very good luck. ... I think every aspect of our society should be prepared. I don't think it's going to come to that, especially with the fact that we're going down, not up. We're going very substantially down, not up[... and again, when you have 15 people, and the 15 within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero, that's a pretty good job we've done." (lies)

Feb 26: Trump says the seasonal flu has a higher mortality rate. (a lie)

Feb 26: senior White House official Larry Kudlow claims ""We have contained this, I won't say airtight but pretty close to airtight." (a lie)

February 28th: During a rally in South Carolina, Trump alleges Democrats are politicizing the coronavirus, calling it “their new hoax.”

March 4th: In an interview with Sean Hannity, Trump calls the WHO’s estimate of the global death rate “false,” describes the coronavirus as “very mild,” and suggests that those infected can get better by “sitting around” and “going to work.”

March 6:
Trump says "...I hear the numbers are getting much better in Italy." (they were not)

March 6:
Trump says: "Anybody that wants a test can get a test. That's what the bottom line is." (not true)

Downplaying.

At this point he can't, more than half the country would vote against him on that statement alone, Way more than half country thinks this virus might be the end of the world. I'm not saying this isn't serious but I lived thru polio and a bunch of other the world is going to end situations. If this was not election year You would not be hearing a fraction of what is going on.
My family and myself have been doing what they are saying for many years. I haven't bough a role of tp since this started.

The reality of things is that Trump is pretty much in a no-win situation. He is going to be criticized no matter what he does. The country is split so badly, that it's going to take a national catastrophe even bigger than this to bring it together again. I think he is trying to reassure people that not everyone is going to get the virus, and that we can't let what was a roaring economy come to a screeching halt, while at the same time trying to do something that will in the spread of corona virus and provide help for those places that are affected by it.

I believe that like MOST of you on here, he was not initially too concerned about this, probably because it is something of a wait and let's see what happens type of deal. He also knows that no matter what he does, the Democrats are going to use it against him in the upcoming election, and make no mistake about it............this is just as important an election as we have ever had, I believe even more so than 2016.

The people I fault the most for whatever happens down the road is not going to be Trump, or the Democrats, or the liberal media trying to spread the flames of the panic, but the average American citizen for not taking the responsibility to do their part in seeing that the spread of the disease is kept to a minimum. Even if you're a naysayer, who believes its all a hoax, you can still do your best to keep yourself safe and not needlessly expose yourself to something or someone that might make you sick. The bottom line is that a lot of other things, personal responsibility goes a long way in solving a multitude of problems. I believe that because I know that government is not the answer to everything..............and that includes what is going on right now.

I agree 100%, if anyone cannot see what she and her lackies are doing to this country I feel sorry for them, she has done nothing but cause chaos and problems for this country, she just showed you what she thinks of the voters and the people by adding all that non sense into the bill, but thats ok, shes allowed to "fiddle" around, what an embarrassment for this country

Why certainly. The only other option was to shut the country down earlier and had he done that and it worked, he would have been slammed for crashing the economy and "hurting working people" for nothing. Democrats actually called him a racist for shutting down travel from China when he did which was arguably too late.

The only hope is that the American people can see what total [bleep] idiots the democretins are.

Well, you know, I guess they and I DO have some things in common, because I want a population reduction as well, (of democrats), and I'm beginning to be in favor of abortion. Post delivery, as many as 75 years post delivery. Of democrats.

Because after a while, when you hear them talk, and you see them rave over things like "The Hunt", and you realize they (the new democrats, or basically the Communist Party of the United Sates) want the same for you, you realize it's foolish to not want that for them, as an act of self preservation. Why would anybody NOT want to eliminate an existential enemy? How is that working out for us vs. Islam? How did it work out for the European Jews vs.the Nazi Party? Probably actually way MORE than the Nazis, since the Germans didn't have much problem getting certain elements of conquered nations to help them round up the Jews, did they?

Lots of people panicked even when the president downplayed it.
Imagine the hysteria if he didn't.
