Little bitter sweet, found out my 26 Nosler digs 143 Eld-X pushed to 3250fps. It doesn’t like tougher bullets like Sciroccos, Accubonds or TTSX.

Curious if anyone has ever smacked fur with a 143 at high speeds.

Hoping for an answer here too. I have a 264 WM that likes them too, running just a tad below 3200.

What is the impact velocity at a typical hunting range? You may end up close to the upper end of the ideal velocity window.

All bets are off for close shots but I am sure someone has experience with that. Heck, folks run NBT's out of their .257 weatherbys

My average shot on muleys and speedgoats over the past few years is in the 350-400yd range so 2700fps ish...

For the record I don’t hate 100gr NBTs out of a 257Roy, SSll’s are just mo betta

I've smacked things with a muzzle velocity of 2930, and they were very destructive. I can only imagine what they might do at 3250.

My friend shot an elk at 180 yds with this out of the 6.5 prc. Bullet caused massive damage of bloodshot meat. Also a couple deer with same results. He is not impressed. Ed k

I can't speak with experience for performance at 3000 + fps. But 162gr ELDX'S out of my 280 AI @ 2970 fps do a great job on whitetails. Drops em in their tracks.

Agreed, just want to know I’ll reach vitals. Plan on putting one through a bears shoulders over bait this spring. If it passes that test we’ll be golden.
