So, I suspect it’s just about impossible to find a decent one of these anymore. Figures. I know that Simpsons still shows one in their inventory, but I was hoping for one with a little more condition to it, for the price they have on it. I would even consider a Model 25. Granted all the parts were on it. And had a decent bore.

Just the 35 would seem like a fun rifle. Anyone here have one?

A rolling block?

I think the NR 35 is a single shot bolt gun. I would like to get my hands on one of the Swedish rolling blocks that was in good shape.

Yes, single shot bolt rifle usually in .30 WCF. The model 25 was .32 WCF. Yeah, finding one with all the parts still intacted appears to be a chore!!!

Well I suppose I really didnt need one that bad anyway. They just looked like a fun project. The want has pretty much passed now. Need to get back to a muzzleloader I was building anyway. Probably use it more.

I really do not want one of the big rollingblocks as I have no particular need or desire for a larger cartridge. Passed up several 1871 Mausers here lately for same reason.

I have a Husqvarna rolling block number 33 in 8x58 R Sauer. I have not been able to find brass or dies for it. I am on the waiting list for the dies from Buffalo arms. I would love to find one in 22 hornet. (5.56 Vierling)

Been loading a lot of 32-20 here lately for my ‘23 vintage Colt Army Special. Kinda rekindled my desire for a single shot 32-20. I have plenty of big guns. I could probably have a lot of fun with a SS .32 WCF. And even kill a few pigs. Guess I’ll just have to keep eyes peeled. Ain’t going to spend a lot of money for a rifle with a broke stock or missing parts. If I find something, that’s good. If I don’t, that’s ok too.

I also own a Type 33A Husqvarna Rolling Block, but fortunately mine is a rare 9.5x47R and I use .38-55 brass trimmed shorter to load for it.

Yours should be able to use 9.3x57R brass reformed and shortened once you have dies. The rims are sligtly smaller but extractor will still catch and extract them.

I've lingered over the Simpson's listings of the .22 versions a bit. Very reasonable and nifty, especially the ones with octagonal barrels.
