Anybody own a Retay Gordion or Masai Mara Turkey?? it’ll be a turkey gun that I’ll also carry for predators in the fall/winter. I really like how lightweight the Retay are.... that’s the main reason I took the mossberg 930 off my list of potentials (weight)

The Franchi Affinity is also on the list .... feel free to recommend others in the same price range

My only experience with the Turkish made guns was not good. It was a very lightweight Charles Daly 20 gauge pump. Extractor gave away on the third shot. The Franchi would be a lot better gun IMO.

Didn't you have a thread a month or so ago on buying a shotgun? Dang man, just go get one, if you don't like it, trade it for another one. Sheit, I'll buy one just to see if I might like it.

My 17yo son has a Franchi Affinity and it runs like a Rolex. In three years, I don't think its ever failed to cycle a round, in spite of questionable cleaning practices. I'm a huge fan, and would buy one myself in a heartbeat if in the market.

Same, same for my primary hunting partner.

Scott price and his incessant shotgun threads Is rivaled by JohnW and his boat threads.

Can’t figure if they can’t get permission from mamma or if they’re just irritating tire kickers who never buy anything, just talk talk talk.

Holy Fuqk, you're right. Goes back over a year and a half, couple years ago it was binoculars, and muzzleloaders. Bet his wife beats the sheit out of him, locks him in the closet, and he gets on here and writes about his fantasies.

#3 son got a Turkish shotgun at the gun show a while back. Yikes! What a disaster. I forget all what was wrong with it. He took it back to the show and sold it to some poor unfortunate at a profit.

SuperCore showed up to Turkey Camp one year with a Turkish 20 GA auto. The bolt shattered on the 3rd shot.

Go get yourself a used WIN 1200 or a Mossy 500 and be done with it.

I've advised against the Turkish guns for many years now - but apparently buyers only see "CHEAP PRICE"!! And then they learn the expensive way... TFF...

The Franchi Affinity should certainly be a top contender. I've also seen some great deals on the Beretta Outlander A300 (under $600) and that would also be an excellent choice.

Maybe YOU need to read some of his prior threads. He's always asking questions, people are giving him good answers and looking up info for him, and then he makes excuses on why it's not good enough, or too expensive for him.

My frugal demeanor has gotten me two homes in my 29 years. I work seven months of the year and hunt the remaining 5...I’m pretty happy with where my decisions have gotten me so far and I’m not disappointed for being raised to be smart with my money. I’ll worry about me and you worry about you. I will continue asking questions until I am confident with the decision I make. I find it more strange that youre on this forum so much to recognize my username and my questions..... Sounds like you need to get a hobby

Well, if you find him offputting, ignore his posts.
Some people have lots of money. Others don't. Some feel the need to shop carefully to maximize their money. It's not like it cost you anything to read or answer his posts.

No, dumfuqk. You've posted variations of the same question three times in the past 2 weeks. That's not hard to remember. There's also a cool feature called "search". You can do what you want, just quit wasting others' time.

If your price range is around $700 you can sometime find a Benelli Montefeltro or Vinci for about that much. I’ve seen a couple first gen SBEs up for sale too if you want 3 1/2. For me the berettas felt like swinging a 2x4 and the retay seems like it lacking quality components. But I could be very wrong. For what it’s worth, my good hunting buddy has been swinging the same SBE for over 20 years and has hunted everywhere including salt water. It’s a sweet shotgun and has a great reputation. Best of luck!

Walmart used to sell the Charles Daily's and had so many returns for malfunction they quit carrying them.

If I was looking for a pump Turkey gun I'd get an 870. What's the big deal?

They "cost too much". Somebody posted an ad from Whittakers who had them for like $409 and he wasn't interested. He's the sort of customer that gunshop employees can't stand. They come in, want to fingerfuqk (handle) every gun in the store, and then make an excuse on why they can't buy one. The next week, the same thing, over and over...

As I've stated before, if you need a good-quality cheap gas-auto, get the Tristar Viper G2.

If you want an inertia gun, then the Franchi Affinity will be great if you can afford it.

The only folk more annoying are Canuks who come down and want to spend hrs @ the pistol case fondling everything they can't have.
