I bought my Remington Model 870 12ga in 1976. I sold a Model 37 featherweight 16ga to buy it. Worst decision ever.

Don’t know, my cuz found it in a ditch and gave it to me. On acct of him being a felon, he didn’t want in his house.

Killed many a bird with my 870 magnum goose gun with a full choke before I picked up a beat up Winchester model 12.

Night and day

I bought that 870 brand new in the box back around 1975. First gun I ever bought. 180 bucks brand new in the box.

Still have it but rarely take it hunting anymore. Sentimental value

Bought my 870 12ga around 88 and still have it. Still have my M-37 in 20ga. Both are great guns.

I bought mine in 1971 with money I earned delivering newspapers after school. I still use it. Hopefully on a long bearded gobbler in a couple of weeks.

Around 1975. A 12 ga. Wingmaster. Works just fine, even today.

If thats your worst decision ever you are leading a charmed life. Got my first 870 for my 11th Christmas, about 22 years ago. A 20 gauge express. Killed my first dove, rabbit and duck with it. Also slummed it on the skeet field on many occasions, even when I had nicer guns available. She’s slicker than snot and dead reliable. I got a 12 gauge express a few years ago and it was junk, so I gave that one the boot.
My grandpa blessed me with his model 12 and model 37 when he passed. The Winny a 12 gauge and the Ithaca a 16 lightweight. Both great guns that will stay with me til my dying day. They’ll be sitting next to my 870 in the safe unless I die in the field hunting with one of the three.

My Wingmaster is from the 80s and will be in my estate sale. It does everything I need a shotgun to do.

I have a 1958 corncob 12 gauge that I have worn to a silver finish from my use hunting. Butter smooth and completely reliable, it's a keeper!
