I’m looking for input from anyone who has experience with the. Remington V3. This gun shoulders well for me and the price is hard to beat. I’ll be using this gun 100% for waterfowl hunting. Any input on this gun would be much appreciated!

I have a versa max and a friend of mine has the v3. both use the same type gas system. they have been good dependable shotguns for waterfowling conditions.

V3 is a great gun! I have had 2 and really like them, if my 1100 wood would fit I would shoot one a lot.

I tried to get my last one, wood version, to jam, slow down or hang up by not cleaning it and it just kept running. Think I had about 800 rounds through it before I could not take it any more and had to clean it.

They are the 1100 of the 21st century and they just work and a great price. Im sure there will be haters who cant get then to run and say they all jam but these are the same guys who cant make an 1100 run so pay them no mind. Bottom line is they are soft, run REAL dirty and are affordable.

And who cant get an 1100 to run? I seem to hear that a lot here......

My hunting buddy has one, had no complaints. It can ride around uncased in the side by side all day, get full of dust and still work.

His wife also uses it dove hunting. She basically empties the gun at every dove that flies by, still works with no hiccups.

I love mine. I had to send it back for a defect in the firing pin, but other than that it has been good.

Mine runs very well, but it seems to pattern a bit to the left.

I have always respected "Passports" shotgun comments....he knows of what he speaks. My thoughts are Remington's gas system design for the "V3" was 25 years to late allowing Beretta and Benelli to dominate the auto shotgun market starting in the early 90's. Doubtful Remington is setting sales records with the V3.

Benelli Super Black Eagle 1 had its issues. SBE 2 perpetuated the issues. Don't know if they got it right with the SBE 3. I would NEVER buy a Benelli.

The Remington 1100's main flaw was a $2 o-ring. Has not hurt my feelings, even a little bit, to install a new one annually each time I clean the gun after end of season. Have NEVER had it stop running, ever. The post-1100 iterations from Remington have looked promising. But, not enough to orphan my 1100's.

My buddy has a V3 ( He is a Remington or nothing man) He is no water fowl hunter or skeet shooter but he has put a couple hundred rounds through his with no issues other than his gun shoots Noticeably to the left....If you like a gas gun the V3 seems to be a good gun for the money 👍.....Hb

Interested in one of these myself.

Wanting something I can use as an everything gun and not have to keep taking the sights off of my current 12 gauge when I am not turkey hunting w it.

Wholesale Sports was closing and was clearing out stock at discounted prices. I thought I would grab a V3 as a coworker had to send his Super Black Eagle in for repairs and he bought a Versamax to tide him over the waterfowl season. Long story short, the SBE was in the shop a long time and must have been a hangar queen as it still was a problem. Meanwhile the Versamax kept chugging along, no problems.

I did not buy the V3 as the synthetic stocks were very angular, almost sharp edged to my feel. It seemed like the stock was designed for futuristic looks and not comfort. I knew I would always resent and hate the stocks so I left it. There is nothing wrong with a 1100/11'87/870 stock, why couldn''t Remington just use them? Very disappointed. A couple of years later I won a Beretta A350 in a raffle. Sold it and bought an A400 Extreme Unico.

If the V3 feels right for you, I would buy it. I think Gerry uses the SBE as backup to the Versamax he likes the Versamax so much.
