Nice trade, on your part. I have a late 40’s or early 50’s 336 ADL in 32 Winchester special. It’s one of my favorite rifles. A beautiful rifle with an unmolested waffle top.

Those are nice 35 cal Marlins. When Davidson's offered those I couldn't scrape the funds to cobble onto one. I never run across them.

I'm kind of looking for a 35 Remington 336. Be Well, Rustyzipper.

At a show in Vegas last weekend I picked up what I thought was a 1950 336SC in 35 Rem, turned out to be a 336A. I was already smiling, but it got bigger, especially for $425 with a box of Hornady FTX ammo.

The only one I've seen recently was a JM marked pre safety standard 336, but it had badly mismatched wood and shop had $700 on it. I'll keep an eye peeled for them here in MO and let you know.

I picked up a SC in 35 Rem last November. 1951 gun that had been professionally drilled for scope mounts. I had to give $750. I stumbled into a 336ER in 356 Win two weeks later so the 35 Rem is an extra. Given the state of Marlin I am not sure if I should sell it even though I am not one for having a lot of extra guns
