Folks:
I've seen Maven mentioned a few times, and they're all over my Facebook feed, but I really haven't read much in the way of tests. Of those companies with the same business model, I see far more Tract tests. Has anyone run a Maven through the usual 24HCF protocol?
Thanks
RM

RM I am putting one on my Sako 22-250 today and will shoot tomorrow, if the weather cooperates. Phil

The glass is excellent, compares very well to my Z3. Lightweight and easy to mount on a SA

I have an RS 1 2.5-15x44. Just after I got it, I screwed up my right shoulder, (not surgically repairable) so it took a couple of years physical therapy and work to get it somewhat back to normal. As a result I am just getting to the point I can shoot something bigger than a .243. I got if for a 7 mm RM. It is a first plane focal, big, weighs 24 oz, looks and feels like you could use it in a bar fight. The optics are as good if not better than any scope I have had much to do with, clear, sharp, distortion free. If the optics are not good enough for you, then I have no idea where you need to go to get better enough to notice. The adjustments work just fine. This one has the SHR ballistic plex type reticle, so it is not a turner. The reticle is small, but usable in good light, at 2.5x, but this is likely not something you would use at low power a lot. At 6x and above there should be no issues.
It is an impressive scope in initial evaluation, but as yet I have not had a chance to use it on the rifle I intended. A few shots with a .243 is not enough of a sample to say anything meaningful. Not something I would want on a rifle I'd be packing all day.

Be quite interested to hear from the two of you with the RS 2 how you find the eye relief to be in actual use.

Mine was on on a 6.5 Creed, so no issue with eye relief. I’d feel comfortable putting it on a 7-08, but wouldn’t put it on a stout kicker

My light weight rifles wear Leupold 6x36, 6x42, 2-7x and 2.5x8x. One a Swarovski Z3. If I really wanted to go light I would consider a fixed 4x but probably full sized rather than a compact.

Glass is right in it's price range, better than the Leupold VX-3i. Maybe a hair behind the Swarovski Z3.
Turret can be re-zeroed and has decent clicks.
Eye Relief seems fine for anything besides maybe a magnum and eyebox is very comfortable.
SHR reticle is great for lowlight and provides holdover points.

Just got in from working the 22-250 with the Maven scope The adjustments are very good and reliable. Nice firm clicks. It was nice to make a simple adjustment and be able to repeat them glass was very clear and sharp am not impressed with the eye focus adjustment will try to get out late tomorrow and see how it works in the late evening
