Most I buy here.

For new, I usually call Darrick & Co. @
Whittaker's.

Occasionally I'll patronize a local shop, though, just to keep 'em open. They haven't seemed to need much of my help these past few weeks.

Yep, private party sales have been my best buys. I live in a state that now charges about $100 to "import" a firearm and get it registered. I can find it cheaper on line often but in the end it's the same as the LGS for the most part. Depends on new or used.

I get most of my rifles used by visiting small gun shops or local gun shows.. Also check the ads in small towns when we are moving around.. Mostly I operate in Wy. and Montana.. Colorado charges $11. to run a check and have 8 percent sales tax.. Screw those pricks..

My best deals since moving to AK in 2011, has been Sportsmans Warehouse and individuals. When I lived In AR, MT, TX, and MS, I had good luck at local gun shops/pawn shops.

For new rifles I usually use Bud's. Excellent service, great prices.

I don't buy new firearms. Locally...or within a couple hundred miles...to find something that interests me is highly unusual. Most of my purchases over the last 10-12 years have been off line or a gun show, from an individual or auction. Supplies I always try to buy locally....well, I used to. Now "local" is about 80 miles away since the only good gun shop around here closed. But, I've traded with that LGS for close to 40 years going back to when I lived in that community.

Same with me. I haven't bought a "new" gun since Christ was a corporal. (Haven't bought a "new" car either, since 1986 as a matter of fact.) It's been a while since they made pre-war Savage, Winchester, and Springfield rifles!

Ditto Sharps4590 experiences with LGS for buying handloading components. 90 mile drive (before we were "locked down") to do such, so now it's the Olde Innerweb" exclusively for the duration of the flu epidemic.

My last new rifle was in 2006 Retirement present to myself I hope to give to my grand daughter some day. Before that? I think about 1965 while I was stationed in Germany. Other than that I always buy used guns! Oh wait. about the very early 1970's I bought a new Rem 788 and a new Rem 660. Forgot!

I buy most of my stuff off Gun Broker or here. Mostly because I am usually looking for a discontinued item or a used custom. Most of the new stuff being made today doesn’t interest me much.

Cigar: I just bought another Rifle from the classified ads on this site last week - I am guessing I have bought 12 (twelve) guns from here over the years - ALL transactions were pleasing/pleasurable!
But I buy the vast majority of my Rifles from face to face situations - like gunshows, want ads and from friends.
I also travel constantly (up until two weeks ago anyway!) to check gunshops and pawnshops around the west for guns, optics, knives and deals on ammunition.
I have NEVER trusted "gunbreaker" (WAY to much skullduggery going on there!) and have never bought a gun through it.
I base this on watching MANY of my friends "suffer" in various ways trying to deal through that venue over the years - and I have even been "invited" by "acquaintances to partake in skullduggery on that site. Again, not for me.
I absolutely prefer dealing face to face - citizen to citizen (off the books and hilldabeast safe if you get my drift!).
